Design Case Study: Cost of War Widget
MilitaryWidgets.com wanted to build a complex embeddable site ‘widget’ that would allow a user to add custom, dynamically updating elements to their own page without using any proprietary technologies such as Adobe Flash or Microsoft Silverlight.
I was able to develop a flexible, gracefully degrading HTML/Javascript only solution, as well as an easy to use drag & drop interface to create the widget.
The widget can now be found on thousands of sites, and is still in use years after release.
