LakeRentals.com was a fast-growing, user centric web site in the vacation/travel niche.

I served as CTO and head developer for the LakeRentals network of sites from early 2006 until the network’s successful sale to Weather.com in Q4 2007.

User Interface and Search Engine visibility were primary goals of the project, and during my tenure I successfully added a number of advanced features with regards to search, interactive display, and AJAX integration while expanding the network and shepherding site traffic into the millions of page views per month.

A custom backend required implementing user-friendly features across the entire spectrum of web-development tasks: Adding and Editing Photos, Managing Comments and Feedback, and Planning and Calendar Tasks. My team was able to deploy all these things on time and under budget, and keep the site ahead of the competition from both feature and usability standpoints.
